The new Star Wars series Andor has just premiered on Disney Plus and in it is the first time a certain NSFW word is said in SW history.

The Star Wars series Andor has just released its first three episodes on Disney+. In those episodes is the first time the word “shit” has ever been uttered in Star Wars history.

While other curse words have been said through both live-action and animated Star Wars content, this is the first time “shit” has been said. A truly groundbreaking moment, wow.

Now, fans are reacting to the historic Star Wars moment. Some say it’s too much for them, while others don’t see what the big deal is.

“This strays too far from SW’s DNA, imo. It seems like a small thing and I feel like a boomer saying so but stuff like this takes me out of the universe.”

“Damn and hell are used all the time in Star Wars. I myself don’t really mind a mix of made up swears and real ones something Star Wars has been doing since day one.”

For fans of Star Wars movies, it may be some time before you get your next project.

Disney has just released their full movie slate for the next six years and the Star Wars selection is looking sparse. The next Star Wars film isn’t listed to release until 2025.

“Take a peek at Disney’s updated release calendar through 2028”

One missing part of the schedule that people immediately caught onto was the omission of Patty Jenkins’ Rogue Squadron film. The film was originally set to release on December 22nd, 2023 but now appears to be missing from the schedule entirely.

The 2025 SW film is currently untitled, so it is possible that Rogue Squadron was pushed back to this date. It is also possible that it was removed ahead of a complete scrapping of the project similar to David Benioff and Dan Weiss’ Star Wars project being cancelled after the eighth season of Game of Thrones was released.
