Rejoice! NBC’s critically-lauded afterlife comedy The Good Place has been renewed for a fourth season.

The return of the television spectacular was confirmed by the co-presidents of scripted programming for NBC Entertainment, who released a statement sharing “Congratulations to Mike Schur and an exceptional cast and crew, all of whom collaborate to create a thoughtful, mind-bending and hysterical series unlike anything else on television. We can’t wait to see what unexpected stories the new season will bring.”

This year, The Good Place scored its first-ever Emmy nominations. Ted Danson copped a nom for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy and Maya Rudolph received a nod for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy.

If you haven’t seen The Good Place yet then chuck a sickie and spend the rest of your day tucking into this comedic feast. It was created by Mark Schur, the genius behind Parks and Recreation, and stars Kristen Bell, Ted Danson, William Jackson Harper and Jameela Jamil. From our review:The Good Place is not your average Netflix series. If you’re a lover of puns, Friends and watching something that stirs up your insecurities while carefully and precisely testing whether or not you’re a good person, then this NBC comedy is definitely your (admittedly rather bitter) cup of tea.”

Last month, Jameela Jamil took to Twitter to roast celebrities promoting unhealthy diet fads, read all about it now.
