The hype for Thor: Love and Thunder is fucking real.

While there’s way more than a handful of reasons to be excited for the film to drop, the hype feels even more palpable considering that it’s being filmed in Sydney as we speak. With news surfacing from the film’s various sets (giving us big FOMO), Hemsworth has been keeping us on our toes with all of his bulking and shredding antics.

When photos first came to light that the sequel film had kicked off, one thing became super obvious. Thor’s said goodbye to his days of video games and beers. I guess it was fun while it lasted…

There was also that one time earlier this year when Hemsworth’s stunt double revealed that he was struggling to keep up with the actor’s insane gym and eating schedule. He said, “Every two hours we are eating, it’s become a chore, I don’t enjoy eating at all, every two hours it’s like get calories in, training twice a day, it’s full on.”

And now the next piece of news from the Love and Thunder vault has dropped, this time, courtesy of none other than Aussie legend, Russell Crowe.

As reported by Consequence FilmCrowe officially announced the big news on a radio segment interview on Melbourne’s LGBTQA+ radio station JOY 94.9. He spoke on his previous movie roles including The Sum of Us and Boy Erased. And then he let it rip: he’ll be playing the role of Zeus in the upcoming Thor sequel.

Crowe said, “I’m gonna get on my bicycle. I’m gonna ride up to Disney Fox studios and ’round about 9:15, I shall be Zeus. It’s for Thor. It’s my last day of Zeus-ing about and I’m going to enjoy it.”
