Spider-Man: No Way Home star, Tom Holland, has recently sat down to talk about the possibility of more Spidey films and the future of Marvel.
The 25-year-old British actor has been on the road promoting his upcoming movie ‘Uncharted’ and was asked about a potential new trilogy by Entertainment Weekly.
“We’ve had conversations about the potential future of Spider-Man, but at the moment they are conversations,” Holland reaffirms that the future for this Spidey is still uncertain, “We don’t know what the future looks like.” Much of what Holland says in the interview seems to be conjecture on the future with a tentative hesitancy on speculation, as Holland is still enjoying the success from his latest superhero outing.
Holland says Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and producer Amy Pascal are “thinking of something” but he’s “not really thinking about the future” due to “still riding the wave of the success of the film.”
Despite Holland’s humble demeanor when it comes to speculation on future Spidey movies, Pascal has stated that a new trilogy is coming and that it will be in conjunction with Marvel.
“We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel. We’re thinking of this as three films, and now we’re going to go onto the next three,” adding that, “This is not the last of our MCU movies.” Pascal’s adoration for Spider-Man movies in the MCU and Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland, seems to be further displayed in an interview she did with GQ where she stated she’d be, “doing, like, 100 more (movies).” and, “I’m never going to make Spider-Man movies without him,” she said. “Are you kidding me?” 100 more Spider-Man movies might sound like a lot but keep in mind that if one thing drives franchises it’s money, and Spider-Man movies make a lot of it.
