Whiteley: Other Places serves as a kind of visual trip across the world, with a legendary artist serving as tour guide.

The one-time working space of legendary Australian artist Brett Whiteley is to serve as the home for a new exhibition. The works included within are collected from across a number of years, and were created by Whiteley in response to a number of cities he travelled to.

In that way, the exhibition has been advertised as a kind of visual tour diary; an artistic exploration of cities as varied as New York, Fiji, Tokyo, London and Tangier. Given that many of the works have gone unseen by the general public up till this point, it’s set to be a significant show by a wholly significant artist.

Whiteley: Other Placeswill run until Sunday May 8 at the Brett Whiteley Studio. More information is available on the website, here.
