Sydney photomedia artist Luke Hardy’s latest exhibition,Patina, explores the change of surface as a result of change and exposure.

“Japanese aesthetic is at the core of Hardy’s passion. Alongside this is the presence of the male body … he is an artist who is a master of beauty,” says curator Sandy Edwards.

Drawing heavily from Japenese culture, Hardy’s sensual works lie somewhere between narrative and mystery. His latest exhibitionPatinafocuses on surface, the skin in all its beauty and what lies beneath, both physical and metaphorical.

Patinaopens Wednesday October 14 and runs through to Sunday October 25 at Janet Clayton Gallery. Click here for further information.
