David Mamet’s controversial Oleanna will feature as the new production by the Sydney Theatre School and Actors Not Feelers, with professional actor Jerome Pride and student actress Grace O’Connell to mirror their real-life working relationship with a dark twist.

Oleanna explores the power struggle between a university professor and his young student, with her accusations of sexual misconduct bringing his career under threat. Bell Shakespeare professional Pride has been teaching at STS since 2009, and O’Connell is one of his second year pupils. The troubling story by Mamet has never been attempted by a real-life teacher/student pairing.

Oleanna shows at Sydney Theatre School in Chippendale from Wednesday June 25 – Sunday July 6.
