A documentary about Armie Hammer and his equally problematic family is reportedly in the works because, well, of course it is.
According to Deadline, Armie’s aunt Casey Hammer is set to spill the tea on all of the family’s secrets in a limited doco series.
Having signed an exclusive deal with Talos films, Casey will reportedly give the inside scoop on the notorious Hammer family, including Armie’s recent controversy.
The news comes after Vanity Fair published an exposé on the Hammers, which also traced Armie’s rise and fall in Hollywood. Casey was one of the key people contacted for comment throughout the story.
In case you’ve been living under a rock this year, Armie is currently being investigated by the LAPD after a woman accused him of sexually assaulting her in Los Angeles in April 2017.
The allegation followed a slew of other claims from women accusing Armie of emotional abuse, manipulation and coercion.

As it turns out, Armie’s alleged abuse is just the tip of the iceberg. In her 2015 self-published book Surviving My Birthright, Casey alleged that her father Julian Hammer sexually abused her when she was a child and was abusive to others in the family.
As reported by Deadline, Julian also allegedly killed a man over a gambling debt back in 1955.
Casey, who is now estranged from most of her family, said in a statement that as a “survivor” she wants to “help empower others to speak up and know that they are heard.”
Meanwhile, Talos Films co-founders Elli Hakami and Julian P. Hobbs likened the Hammer family to “Succession on steroids”.
“A dysfunctional dynasty with its male characters exhibiting all the devastating consequences of privilege gone wild,” they said.
“Now, for the first time, Casey Hammer will tell not just her story, but the definitive family history, leaving no stone unturned. With new unfolding revelations and present-day consequences, this mini-series will provide audiences with a riveting journey into a family where reputation is everything and where things are never how they appear.”
