The greatest hipsters in Bondi, Dom and Adrian, are back in a Stan special to explore the cesspit that is 2020.

Titled Dom and Adrian: 2020, the mockumentary sees the duo land their best ever gig, before COVID-19 hits and predictably ruins everything.

As per NME, the trailer was released yesterday, November 19th. It sees the Bondi Hipsters seemingly going places with their USBJ’ing career (we’re looking at you, David Guetta), when COVID-19 arrives and upsets their plans.

Despite such unexpected turmoil, the two best buds quickly refocus their attention and try to move forward through the chaos. They attempt to stay positive, pay their rent (with the help of dad), and rediscover the entire point of their lives.

They also deal with 5G conspiracy theories, invitations to join the Illuminati, and OnlyFans accounts, as you do. It’s enough to drive a wedge between even the greatest of friendships.

“I’m sure a lot of people think 2020 has been hard, but those people have no idea how hard it is to make a documentary,” said Dom, played by Nick Boshier.

While Adrian, played by Christiaan Van Vuuren said, “If you thought COVID and lock down was tough for you – spare a thought for conspiracy theorists who have been saying this was going to happen for a decade. They’re spinning out the hardest.”

The pair shared the exciting news via their Instagram, sardonically writing, “Unlike every other celeb, we haven’t made any lock down content and thus we’ve managed to stay interesting.”

Dom and Adrian were last seen in the second season of ABC2’s Soul Mates, all the way back in 2016.

The new teaser looks like the combination of absurd comedy and pointed satire that may just be required at the end of this exhausting year.

Dom and Adrian: 2020 is set to premiere on Stan on Sunday, December 13th. Set your reminders.
