Stop the presses: after months of rumour and speculation, it’s finally been confirmed that Bruce Springsteen is heading Down Under, bringing the E Street Band along with him.

He’ll play a single Sydney date and tickets to his shows sell like hotcakes, so all interested are strongly advised to hang on the telephone come Friday September 23, the date when seats go on sale for the general public.

Oh, and Jet have reformed and are travelling the country with him too, though they’re skipping Sydney. Is that a good thing? Bad thing? Best thing? You decide.
