As games are wont to do these days, leaked copies of ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ have dropped ahead of time and folks are already sharing content on the internet.

It’s perhaps an understatement that Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games of 2020. Hell, when the game was delayed (yet again) to December, gamers got so awfully riled up that they started slinging death threats left and right because they had to wait three extra measly weeks.

But there are a some folks out there who won’t need to wait until Thursday, December 10th, to play Cyberpunk 2077 because copies of the game have somehow leaked out into the wild.

According to eagle-eyed folks (via Kotaku), at least one PS4 copy of the game has made it into the hands of someone well ahead of its scheduled release.

And since this is a game that every game has been waiting literally years to play (I’ve been waiting for at least seven years), this person decided to also leak some footage of the game’s opening section online by streaming it.

Now we won’t link or post the leaked Cyberpunk 2077 footage here since that’s just inappropriate, but we can report that the stream only lasted around 20 minutes before it was taken down (but not before the internet could record everything) and it covered the opening parts of the game’s “Nomad” gamepath.

Of course you could just Google search the footage and find this leaked footage easily but why do that to yourself?

Take this as a spoilers alert PSA. There’s footage of Cyberpunk 2077 out there from an early release copy of the game so just a heads up for those trying to steer clear of spoilers.

As for those who have already seen the footage, keep in mind that the game doesn’t have the benefit of a substantial day one patch (which is why the game was delayed until December) so what you saw may not be representative of the final game.

But let’s look on the bright side of this leaked footage – it almost certainly means Cyberpunk 2077 won’t be delayed again since we have evidence of the game being literally shipped to retailers.

If you’re one of the lucky few who got a PS5 but aren’t a fan of Keanu ReevesCyberpunk 2077, or just want to play something else that isn’t set in a futuristic world filled with shooting and cyborgs, we’ve got you covered with our list of recommended PS5 launch games.
