As you’re all probably (hopefully) aware, it’s school holiday season. We can only imagine the pandemonium that is your household. The dread that comes with a school break. Will you be that parent that takes your children on activity after activity? Or will you sit them in front of the TV for two sweet weeks and pray that Netflix has your back.

Well here at The Brag Dad, we want this festive season to be as cruisy for you as possible. Apparently, The Grounds of Alexandria want the same thing. The gorgeous estate is hosting a series of activities for your kids. So you can sip on a sweet soy latte and thank your lucky stars you’re not confined to a Lollypops playland food hall.

Here are all the things you and your children can do together.

Look, I’ll be honest with you. I didn’t even know that they did Yoga for kids. I’m not entirely convinced it’s not a glorified nap time either. But The Grounds have you covered with a programme that will help Zen your kids the hell out. A description for the event reads “Classes comprise of movement with an emphasis on games, partner exercises and short meditations help them to develop coordination, flexibility and strength as well as still their minds.” Namaste.

They’ll also get their own mini garden to take home.

HONEY MAKING WORKSHOP
WEDNESDAY 10TH OCTOBER | 9:30AM, 11:30AM

There’s been a lot of honey discourse these past few months. With supermarket giants withdrawing certain brands from their shelves (we’re looking at you Allowrie). Now you can train your children to bee the beekeeper they never dreamed of beeing. This course will teach kids “how to identify a bee, a drone and  a queen bee; build a honeycomb frame; and how to extract the honeycomb from the frame to make honey.”

PIZZA MAKING WORKSHOP
FRIDAY 5TH OCTOBER – 9AM, 11AM, 1PM
THURSDAY 11TH OCTOBER – 9AM, 11AM. 1PM

Molto bene. Crank up that woodfire oven you insisted on building three Christmas’s ago and haven’t used since. Because after this course your child will be the Don Corleone of woodfire pizza. You’ll probably have to subject yourself to brave, flavour profiles. Hey, who ever said MnMs as toppings wasn’t the authentic Italian way.

So there you have it, you’re already halfway to Masterchef kids glory. Thank us later.
