The Ecosa Rio Sofa Bed is one of those rare products that is exactly as advertised.

Here are the top 5 things I loved about the sofa in order:

1. Easy to assemble

The most impressive thing for me is how easy it is to assemble.

I watched Ecosa’s assembly video before receiving delivery and like most things, I anticipated it to be a lot harder than they made it seem. However, my cynicism was unfounded – it was as easy to put together as they promised, a rarity with boxed furniture.

2. Comfortable couch

As a couch, it’s probably the most comfortable couch I’ve ever owned, period.

3. Easy to pullout and super durable

Ecosa Sofa

The Rio Sofa Bed is so easy to pullout that even my young kids can do it. They will often pull it out so they can jump and play on it, and after a full month of the kids durability test, there has been no damage or issues with the sofa. The kids have given it everything and the sofa is still as good as new.

4. Style

The photos tell the full story, the Ecosa Rio Sofa is as beautiful in real life as it is in Ecosa’s press shots, again, a rare instance where a product is exactly as advertised.

The simple design somehow, looks absolutely stunning in a second family room or spare bedroom.

5. Environmentally Friendly

Ecosa report on their website that “up to 400 plastic bottles” are used to create the Rio Sofa Bed. Ecosa are an environmentally focused mission driven business, you can read about the impact of all of their products here.

The Cons

The Rio Sofa Bed as two small cons;

  1. You can’t tuck a bedsheet into the sofa when it’s pulled out
  2. Although as a couch it’s extremely comfortable, as a bed, it’s not so much

Both of these two cons can be fixed with getting mattress foam topper, which are usually quite cheap so these aren’t huge cons, but the fact that you need one makes the Rio Sofa Bed almost perfect, not perfect.

Verdict

At this price point you won’t find a more beautiful, easy to assemble, comfortable option than the Rio Sofa Bed. Highly recommended
