Following their recent national tour with Tired Lion, The Hard Aches have announced their new EP release and tour.
Having scored plenty of accolades in 2015, such as inclusion in the Rip It Up Hot 6 as one of South Australia’s brightest talents, dynamic duo-piece The Hard Aches have been on a hectic touring schedule over the last few years, marking their territory in diverse venues such as carparks, backyard, bedrooms and record stores.
The Hard Aches’ new EP I Freak Out has earned them national radio and international buzz, with their debut albumPheromones further highlighting their talent. Featuring the single Glad That You’re Gone, the lyrics of I Freak Out are similar to the debut album, but the meaning behind them explores new depth; singer/guitarist Ben David releases his inner turmoil in trying to make sense of his own head, where he belongs within his native city in Adelaide, and the overwhelming human interactions he has to deal with.
Recorded at Birdland Studios in Melbourne with the assistance of producer Lindsay Gravina, I Freak Out was the first recording not to be created entirely by the band themselves. The Hard Aches’ will be breathing life into their new EP through their Australia tour in September.
The Hard Aches will hit it off on Saturday September 17 at the I Love Life Festival in Manning Bar; tickets available via the venue website. They’ll also rock the Newtown Social Club on Friday October 4; tickets available via the venue website.
