There are heaps of stellar video games coming out in March 2021, so we’ve compiled a list of the all the ones worth keeping an eye on.

With a new Super Mario game now behind us, it’s time to turn our attention to video games that are inbound for March 2021.

And while we’re still early on in the year, there’s a number of smaller titles that could become breakout hits.

So here are six games worth your attention for the next month. Might want to prep your wallet.

Maquette

If you like your video games with a heavy dose of challenge, Maquette is the game for you. The first-person puzzler will place you in a world where every building and object are both tiny and huge at the same time.

Mucking around with one will directly affect the other, and our brains are already hurting.

It’s available on PS4, PS5 and PC from today. It’s also free for PS5 owners with a PlayStation Plus subscription.

Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse

Zombie media is getting a bit long in the tooth, but we’ll make an exception for Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse. After all, the original Xbox classic lets you use flatulence to weaken your prey before turning them into a zombie, which is just the greatest mechanic ever.

Don’t expect any kind of bonus upgrade, though. This re-release is a straight port of the original, so time will tell if the nostalgia has aged well.

You can grab Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch on Tuesday March 16.

Marvel’s Avengers

It’s coming a hell of a lot later than most people predicted, but Marvel’s Avengers finally gets its new-gen update.

The game will apparently be making best use of the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S’s power by featuring better visuals and improved loading. It’s also coming right in time for the launch of Hawkeye into the game’s story.

The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions will be available to buy from Friday March 19. If you own a PS4 or XBO you should be able to upgrade for free.

Monster Hunter Rise

Monster Hunter is big business around the world, and the series is set to continue with Monster Hunter Rise.

The Nintendo Switch exclusive is set in a pretty neat looking ninja land and includes a slew of new monsters to take on. You can even use a bug as a makeshift grappling hook to get around. Charming, but also a little gross.

Hopefully this game will help remove any memories of that pretty terrible Monster Hunter movie.

Monster Hunter Rise is set for release on the Nintendo Switch on Friday, March 26th.

It Takes Two

No, we’re not talking about the 1995 Olsen Twins movie. It Takes Two is EA’s newest original indie, and the name of the game here is co-op.

You’ll control either Cody or May, two humans that are turned into a doll by magic and must then save their fractured relationship.

According to the game’s website it’s a “metaphorical merging of gameplay and narrative.” We’ll let you know when we work out what the hell that actually means.

Worth noting is you can only play this game in co-op but buyers of the game will nab a free Friend’s Pass. It will be available on Friday, March 26th for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and PC

Balan Wonderworld

Balan Wonderworld looks like something that’s been ripped right out of a cheese dream, and honestly we’re not sure how to feel.

A colourful platformer touting a mix of special abilities to help tackle enemies and gather up collectibles, Balan is a definitely weird one.

A recent demo has also led some to speculate this might be one of 2021’s worst games, which certainly has us intrigued.

You can check if out if you dare from Friday March 26 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, XBO, Switch and PC.
