Jackass star Chris Pontius has chased down a porch pirate who stole his wife’s parcel from the front door of their multimillion-dollar home in Tarzana, California.

If you’re not yet familiar with the term, a “porch pirate” refers to someone who steals newly delivered packages from other people’s front doors – an act that has become increasingly common over the past decade.

Posting to Instagram, Pontius – aka “Party Boy” – uploaded a clip of the cowardly thief running off with his wife’s package. It also showed Pontius gunning it out of his house and down the street in an attempt to reach the porch pirate.

“Just return the package, it’s my wife’s @parachutehome order of a duvet cover and a table runner!!!” Pontius, 46, wrote on alongside the security footage along with a still image of the suspect and his car.

“Black Range Rover Sport with Black badges, front temporary plates of leasing company, first 3 plate numbers are BJ9, will update with police report number. Driver was a pudgier version of the man photographed.”

Fans were loving that the funnyman’s attempt to chase the thief being caught on camera, with one follower commenting on the post, “Watching you haul down the driveway made my day. Sorry you guys got porch pirated.”

Another added, “Get that son of a bitch, Chris!”

Pontius is best known for hilarious antics that were featured in the MTV series Jackass and its spin-off Wildboyz with fellow Jackass alum Steve-O. He has also starred on Playboy TV’s hidden camera practical joke series Totally Busted.

In other Jackass news, the franchise’s director Jeff Tremaine was forced to file a restraining order against Bam Margera earlier this month after receiving death threats from the star.

According to text messages obtained by TMZMargera threatened the director as well as his kids, with one text reading, “Look at your children and grab your pocketbook and write a check, if you are greedy, and cheap, look at your children again. If you don‘t sign the paper, look at your children. Sign your stupid fucking contract before you’re not safe anywhere.”

Prior to the issued restraining order, Margera had taken to Instagram to state that the Jackass members had mistreated him, amid struggling with bipolar disorder.

He said, “My family – Jackass, has betrayed me, rejected me, abandoned me. Not all of them. I love all of them and they love me back.”

He continued, “But specifically Jeff Tremaine and Johnny Knoxville. So I feel like my family has fucking done everything horrible to me and made me jump on hoops and walk through eggshells, which is impossible, and strung me along like a fucking puppet to get the $5 million I usually get when I make a movie with them because Jeff Tremaine and CKY has started it.”

Steve-O disputed Bam’s claims in the comments while throwing support behind Tremaine and Knoxville, saying, “The two people you’re saying wronged you (Knoxville and Tremaine) are the same two people who organised the intervention which saved my life.”

He continued, “Everyone bent over backwards to get you in the movie, and all you had to do was not get loaded. You’ve continued to get loaded, it’s that simple. We all love you every bit as much as we all say we do, but nobody who really loves you can enable you or encourage you to stay sick.”

The court granted that Margera must stay a “minimum of 100 yards away from Jeff, his wife, and children.”
