Celebrating its 18th year and a massive nationwide following, the Japanese Film Festival returns with JFF Encore, a screening of the festival’s best titles from previous years.
The new program showcases eight Japan Academy Award-winning films that have also won a host of other prestigious awards from around the globe.
JFF Encore also gives film fans a second chance to catch some real cinematic classics including the Oscar award-winning filmDepartures (2008), Confessions (2010) andThe Kirishima Thing(2012).
The Japanese Film Festival Encore – Academy Awards Edition kicks off Wednesday July 9 through til Sunday July 13 at Event Cinemas, George Street.
