Nothing beats a juicy chicken schnitzel from the pub… unless it’s in the form of a mouthwatering burger from McDonald’s.

McDonald’s has really upped its food game lately ay? There was that KitKat McFlurry, the sinful donut ball McFlurry, and of course, all those new chicken menu items.

But it seems like Macca’s has been holding out on us with the chicken menu items because the fast food giant has decided to introduce a new chicken burger that encompasses what Aussies are all about: the Chicken Schnitzel Burger.

That’s right, McDonald’s is getting its pub grub on (again) and it’s in the form of a burger.

Having dipped its toes back in the pub scene a few weeks ago with the McSpicy and the Parmi burger, Macca’s is now doing its own take on every pub’s staple dish.

Featuring a fried chicken fillet, coleslaw, cheese, tomato, lettuce, and some McChicken, all you’re really missing from this meal is a beer for it to really feel like an authentic(ish) pub experience.

That being said, one has to wonder if McDonald’s will offer gravy or mushroom sauce in place of the McChicken sauce because you can’t have a chicken schitty, burger or otherwise, without some of that heavenly brown stuff.

Anyway, the Chicken Schnitzel burger will be available at all McDonald’s stores across Australia starting literally right now but best get on down to your nearest Macca’s sooner rather than later because this gem will only be around for four weeks.

Between this chicken schnitty burger and Nando’s truffle and bacon burger, it’s been a good week for chicken burger lovers and fast food carnivores everywhere.

For all the vegetarians and vegans out there who may be feeling a little left out, no need to worry because word on the street is that Macca’s will be introducing plant-based burgers in 2021. Sounds like there truly will be something for everyone at Macca’s very soon.
