McDonald’s has made all our dreams come true in one fell swoop by resurrecting the McRib and El Maco, as well as adding a new dessert item.

In what can only be described as a colossal announcement, Macca’s unveiled each item as part of a new limited summer menu.

Firstly, McDonald’s is bringing back two of its most popular burgers, the McRib and El Maco.

For the uninitiated, the McRib is a succulent pork sandwich that comes with smokey BBQ sauce and pickles.

Meanwhile, the just as drool-worthy El Maco is a Mexican burger that features sour cream and chunky salsa.

It’s the first time the two burgers have been available at the same time, with both set to stay on the menu for the next six weeks.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing these two burgers back for our customers, they’re fan favourites, and among our most requested products,” said a McDonald’s spokesperson.

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, Macca’s will also be slinging Nutella-filled mini hotcakes from Wednesday, December 9th.

A twist on its signature breakfast hotcakes, the new version features a “dream combination” of Nutella and hotcake.

Yep, it seems safe to assume that Macca’s decided we all deserved a reward after the, ah, interesting year that was 2020.

Personally, as stoked as I am with the current summer menu lineup, I’ll forever live in hope that McDonald’s will bring back Mozzarella sticks.

Hell, I’d love to see the return of the entire Cheesy range that rocked my world earlier this year, but beggars can’t be choosers.

I suggest punters run, not walk to their local Macca’s store to pick up the new items, given they will each be leaving early next year.

The two burgers will be available until Tuesday, January 19th, while the mini Nutella hotcakes will remain on the menu until Tuesday, February 16th.
