A woman in Melbourne has revealed how her recent purchase of a coat from Target ended up with her receiving some unexpected extras.

It’s not uncommon for some retailers to provide customers with special gifts as a way of maintaining their customers. Often, this is in the form of discounts, coupons, or maybe even a free tote bag. However, hardcore narcotics are usually left off the table.

Taking to Facebook earlier today, the Melbourne woman explained how her preparation for the winter months left her with some unwanted freebies.

“I just bought a winter coat from Target, put it on, put my hand in the pocket and pulled out a bag of meth and two scrunched up tissues with blood on them” She revealed.

After discovering the offending substance, the Melbournian noted how she took the coat back to the Target store, alerted shocked staff members, and swapped it for a new one.

“I reached into the pocket, felt them in there, thought it was just tissue paper and one of those moth ball things then once I realised what it was, threw it on my desk,” she exclusively explained to The Brag.

Strangely though, this isn’t the first time that such an incident has occurred. In fact, just last year, a Warrandyte man discovered the house he had recently rented was riddled with methamphetamines, while a New York Apple Store worker intercepted a package containing a pound of crystal meth earlier this year.

The woman also explained to The Brag that she has since gotten in contact with Target, and is expecting further communication about this incident.
