Winter’s officially gone and spring’s almost here, so what could be more appropriate than a drive-thru giving out ice cream sandwiches? To celebrate the release of its latest tasty product, the Waffle On, Maxibon is opening a Waffle On drive-thru in Melbourne this weekend, which will be dishing out FREE ice creams the whole time.

The Waffle On sees the classic Maxibon reimagined with some golden waffle pieces added on for extra deliciousness.

The drive-thru won’t be hard to miss to anyone familiar with South Melbourne: the Waffle On drive-thru is replacing Saul’s Sandwiches drive-thru on Kings Way (don’t panic, Saul’s Sandwiches fans, it’s only for this weekend). That location is just a 10-minute walk from both the Royal Botanic Gardens and Albert Park, if you fancy a stroll with your free ice cream sandwich.

With thousands of free Waffle On ice creams to give out, there should be enough to go around. Anyone can hit up the Maxibon drive-thru from Friday, August 12th until Sunday, August 14th. And if you’re a weirdly avid Maxibon super fan, get down early to get your hands on some exclusive merchandise.

“We know how much Australians love Maxibon, it’s become a staple in so many Aussie freezer: Maxibon is all about being “born different” and we know our consumers love different and love bold,” Andrea Hamori, head of marketing at Peters, said.

“So, we are extremely excited to be launching Maxibon Waffle On, our biggest innovation to-date. Not only have we transformed the biscuit end for the first time ever, but we are pushing the breakfast boundaries giving our fans a Maxibon take on brekkie they can enjoy anytime, anywhere.”
